Situation: The village Bruck an der Grossglocknerstrasse (4427 inhabitants, 756 m above sea level) is located approx. 4 km south of Zell am See and is directly situated at the world-famous Grossglockner-Hochalpenstrasse (www.grossglockner.at), which leads up to the highest mountain of Austria, the Grossglockner (3798 m). Bruck is placed at the edge of the national park 'Hohe Tauern' and is surrounded by a wonderful mountain region. Due to the proximity to the 'Kitzbuehler Alpen' and the 'Hohen Tauern' you can find several hiking tours in all levels of difficulty. Bruck is an ideal starting point for bicycle and mountain bike tours. For cooling-down you can visit the swimming baths in Bruck or jump into the nearby lake of Zell am See.

In winter Bruck distinguishes itself with the close proximity to the winter sports resorts of Zell am See and Kaprun. The ski areas are reachable in just a few minutes with the free of charge ski bus. Furthermore Bruck offers a lighted toboggan run, numerous cross-country ski-tracks and winter hiking trails, which all offer a marvellous view of the snow-covered landscape.
