La Baraquette, Languedoc, France

Property Description

This detached seafront villa has its own infinity pool and private garden, five bedrooms with en suite shower rooms, and is located in a privileged 'first in line' position, with the most stunning sea views. Four designated parking spaces are provided in a private garage that also has space for motorcycles, bikes and even a recharging station for your electric car.

The large basement comes complete with a home cinema, billiards (pool) table, wine cellar, sauna with shower room, as well as ample storage and laundry spaces.

The ground floor boasts a spacious sitting room that looks out through floor-to-ceiling 'outside-in' glass walls to the terrace, garden and pool, with spectacular views of the lagoon. Adjoining the sitting room is a large, modern, open kitchen-dining room complete with La Cornue cooking piano. Just beyond this is the dining area, which is also flanked on two sides by glass 'outside-in' walls. This floor also features a spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

The first floor features the remaining bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bath or shower room and offering amazing views over the vines and water beyond.

Interiors are in-keeping with the spirit of the region and feature untreated timber, driftwood, sail boat flooring, white linen fabric, traditional lime plaster and recycled nautical artefacts from the lagoon, as well as local stone and branches from the oyster beds combined with traditional materials and furnishings. The property is brimming with the latest high-tech lighting, sound, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi systems, allowing owners to control their environment at the touch of a button.

Outside, the spacious terrace provides a lounge area as well as an 'al fresco' dining area. Set in a lush garden, packed with Mediterranean plants, the elegant infinity pool features a counter-current jet and jacuzzi jets to sooth body and mind on warm summer evenings. Just below is a garden 'snug' area where owners can lounge and enjoy the views of their own vineyard, around a central fire. The villa also includes its own external yoga deck.
