The cottage sits beside the railway* and enjoys fine views across the countryside in a private location with no nearby neighbours, just a few minutes' walk to the village shop, Charente river and leisure lake.

*The railway is still in use and there are currently about 2 trains per hour during the day, mainly comprising 2 or four coach trains shuttling between Angouleme and the coast at Royan.
