Interior

The apartment has 109m2 and its interiors are designed by the international design company, Conran & Partners, who have designed boutique hotels and luxury apartments around the globe. The Sa Marina apartment is stylish and contemporary while remaining relaxed and informal.

Each of the main rooms has a touch panel that allows easy control of sound and video systems. The main control screen allows you to select media from a library of hundreds of films, songs and audio tracks, as well as controlling the security camera surveillance system, a door intercom system, the fully programmable lights, blinds, heating and air-conditioning systems and intercom communications. All automated systems can also be accessed remotely.

Bathrooms

Combining beauty and functionality, the master bathrooms feature a freestanding terrazzo bath set against a wall of stone mosaic. Additional bathroom walls are finished in Tadelakt, a lime based plaster with handmade stone basins. All of the remaining sanitary and brassware items are from the Dornbracht Tara classic range, with Galassia toilets and basins and walk-in showers fitted with rain showerheads.

The Italian Veneta Cucina kitchens with Cristallan worktops exude quality and style and every aspect of the design has been considered. This includes state of the art electrical appliances.

Ceiling

Throughout the apartment any noise from the flooring upstairs has to pass through a specially constructed, 33cm thick, concrete floor which incorporates micro acoustic chambers into the design. Beneath this section of flooring is a 6mm anti-impact membrane which covers the plastered and painted apartment ceiling.

Terrace

The terrace of 23 m2 has floors which also include heat insulation to prevent the apartment below heating up from the sun in the summer and to prevent the loss of heat during the winter. Beneath the wooden decking of the terrace are two polyurethane water gathering layers. Under these layers is a cellular concrete layer which absorbs noise and heat and an insulating membrane film with thermal reflecting foil. Beneath this is a layer of polystyrene which provides additional thermal and noise insulation. Finally there is the plastered and painted, concrete ceiling slab. The total cross section of these layers is half a metre deep (50cm).
