Offered for sale is a 1.275L 1968 Marcos Mini Marcos Mk 3 manual that has been with the current owner for the last 3 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 132 / 135.

This 1968 Mini Marcos Mk 3 is correctly registered as a Marcos, chassis number 7030. The vendor informs it was rebuilt from a bare shell. Everything has either been renewed or refurbished. Both subframes were sandblasted, zinc coated and then powder coated. The rear subframe was also sprayed with Waxoyl. All other metal parts were sandblasted and given four coats of International Yacht paint. A full rollcage from the Marcos Heritage Centre was made to order.

All five 12" Mini alloys were powder coated and Yokohama tyres fitted about 500 miles ago. Locking wheel nuts. Mini discs at the front, the calipers were rebuilt with stainless steel pistons, the rear has Minifins. Aeroquip hoses. Blackstuff pads. Proper MiniSpares HiLos, gas shocks and new rubber cones all round. Fully adjustable front and rear suspension (camber, caster, toe). 1275cc MG Metro A+ engine rebored +20, fully rebuilt with 1.5 roller rockers, Swiftune SW5 cam, Mega pistons, Aldon non vac distributor, two oil filters, running an HIF44 SU on a water heated manifold with a K&N air filter. Front mounted Metro Turbo radiator. New alternator. It has been set up on Peter Baldwin's rolling road. New brake and clutch master and slave cylinders with new copper piping and Aeroquip flexible hoses. The gear linkage has been extended and a universal joint fitted to the steering column to give a better driving position. Metro switch stalks and modified Metro single arm windscreen wiper. Sparco Sprint seats both with Luke six point harnesses. New front and rear heated screens. All other glass is toughened, including side windows and door drop glass. To allow entry to the rear, a tailgate has been fitted. Bare shell respray. 120mph speedo and other instruments were refurbished and recalibrated by Speedy Cables. New petrol tank. New electric fuel pump and solenoid operated fuel cut off switch. New door and tailgate handles. Rewired using correct colour codes, all terminals were crimped and soldered. New headlamps and bowls, new indicators and new rear LED hamburger lamps. Registered as Historic vehicle so tax disc is free.

It is suggested by the current vendor that this car could have potential eligibility with the right modifications for HSCC roadsports and Classic Le mans.
