Spacious renovated country house with fine views

This 5-bedroom house set in a small village and has fine rural views.

House

The house is entered via a small glazed entrance hall / veranda.

Ground floor

The front door opens to a large farmhouse-style kitchen (34m2) with tiled floor, exposed stone walls, exposed beam ceiling, large stone fireplace and a range of modern fitted kitchen units with a granite work surface. To the far side of the kitchen a door opens to a small hallway which in turn provided access to the living room.

The huge living room (51m2) has an attractive wood and tiled floor, double-height ceiling with exposed beams, a fireplace with wood-burning stove, exposed stone walls and fine south-west facing views.

To the far side of the living room a door opens to a bedroom suite comprising a large bedroom (20m2) and a bathroom (free-standing bath, wash-basin and WC).

First floor

A very impressive wooden spiral staircase rises from the living room to a gallery landing. Off the landing are four bedrooms (18m2, 10m2, 10m2 and 9m2) as well as a shower room and a separate WC.

Cellar

Below the kitchen is a good-size cellar.

Exterior

The garden lies to the south and west of the house and enjoys fine rural views over the vineyards and fields. The garden itself is mainly laid to lawn with a number of trees and shrubs as well as flower borders. There is a boules / petanque pitch as well as a hard-standing for an above-ground pool.

Just over the little lane is an attractive stone barn which provides useful storage / parking / workshop space.

This is an attractive, renovated home with fine views - the little town of Blanzac Porcheresse with its shops and bar / restaurant is just 2km away.
