Stunning setting for this watermill..

16230 Mansle

What a truly a magnificent setting for this lovely water-mill situated on its own at the bottom of a hill with no immediate neighbours and with its garden intersected at various points by the pretty, meandering Bonnieure river. The property is extensive and includes the main house, an attached guest cottage to renovate, 2 huge barns and other outbuildings and, across the river, an entirely separate property to renovate with its own attached barn, hangar, garden and river frontage.

The main mill house is made up of an entrance hall, a kitchen/diner, a lounge and dining room both with wood-burning stoves. Upstairs there are 4 double bedrooms, a single bedroom / study and a bathroom - plus another room housing some of the old mill mechanical equipment. Attached to the house is a large barn measuring over 100m2.

The first of the 2 cottages to renovate comprises one room downstairs with a wood-burner and an attic above and is separated from the main house by the working bread oven and the mill wheel. Opposite the main house is a barn that is even larger with animal stalls that used to be used to keep horses.

The second cottage offers massive potential for conversion and even has its own access, water and electricity. It is accessed via the garden of the main house via a beautiful medieval bridge. It comprises 2 rooms on the ground floor with a large attached barn to knock into plus an attic. The roof has been replaced quite recently. Attached on the other side is a hangar providing great storage / undercover parking.

With over 2 hectares of land in total including garden, paddock and fields - this property really has it all and must be visited to appreciate its idyllic setting.
