Gharghur, is a quiet rural village in the Maltese north which lies on a hilltop between two valleys. The large Parish Church located in the center of the village is dedicated to Apostle St. Bartholomew. One of the most important features of Gharghur is the statue of St. Bartholomew which is hewn from a tree trunk.
