Citta Cospicua, better known as just Cospicua, is a double fortified city located in the country's south east. Alongside Senglea and Birgu, it is one of the Three Cities. Bormla, which is yet another name for the Cospicua, is a harbor city facing Birgu and the country's capital, Valletta. Some of the many places you can visit in Cospicua include the fortifications, Santa Margherita Lines and the Cottonera lines in particular, as well as the Vilhena Gate. Cospicua's patron saint is the Immaculate Conception of Virgin Mary, and its residents celebrate an annual feast dedicated to her on the 8th of December every year. The Parish Church dedicated to her is famous for its extraordinary withstanding of the bombings during the Second World War. The War Memorial is also worth seeing, which is located just in front of the church. Taking a walk along the streets of Cospicua, one immediately feels the peaceful atmosphere of the town.
