Arboleas is situated in the Almanzora Valley, one of many small settlements along the course of the valley. It has a strong agricultural economy, producing citrus fruit, olives, almonds and cereals. Its history can be traced back to prehistoric times, through to the Romans, Moors and Christians.
The town of Albox is approx 10 mins away. This is a thriving town with all the ameneties you would expect.

The villa is approx 15 mins drive away from the E15 Auto via Mediterano, which links the whole of the south coast of Spain, France and Portugal, airports are easy accessed by the same Autovia. Alicante has recently opened it´s new passenger terminal. For the people who prefer ferry crossings, Satander is approx 10hrs drive away. For the golfing enthusiasts there are five golf courses, one of which is the famous Desert Springs. The beautiful beaches are only 40 mins away, the main resort being Mojacar with it´s Blue Flag beaches and many bars and restaurants. Granada and the Sierra Nevada Mountains are 2 hrs away, famous for it´s scenery and ski resort. There is currently being built a high speed rail link, that will eventually link all of the major cities of Spain and the rest of Europe.
