The port of A Guarda is well known locally for its many fish and sea food restaurants, and the many vineyards in the area produce fantastic Albarino wine.

The location has the climatic benefits of the Baixo Mino micro climate and its proximity to the lovely Portuguese town of Caminha, accessed by ferry, just across the estuary.
