Villa Olive is ideally located between two of the most popular and visited location of Versilia, Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi.

Viareggio takes its name after a latin name Via Regis (literally King’s Road), the name of a road that was built in the Middle Ages along the coast and that still exists today. The elegant and very refined bathing Versilia resort, Viareggio (also called the “Pearl of the Tyrrhenian”), is a world-famous tourist destination.
It is an entertainment centre, the town of the carnival (the Carnival of Viareggio, celebrated in January-February) and of the Versilia nightlife, considered to represent the soul of Tuscan nightlife with its high-level and fashionable clubs. For example, Bagno Balena (http://www.b2k.it) which by day is a watermark and aquarium for families and at night turns into a hip night club with pools you can swim and dance in all night.

Forte dei Marmi is located only 15km from the property and from Viareggio. It is reputed to be one of the most appreciated seaside resorts in Tuscany, maybe because it has always been chosen by actors, politic authorities and industrialists for their holidays. In fact, here you can take a stroll among many luxurious private villas, shops and restaurants. Villa Olive is located about 10km from the sea, in a small town with mountains behind it and which enjoys of a lot of peace and tranquillity. At the same time, it remains only a few steps from the city of Lucca and the social life of Forte dei Marmi.
The atmosphere of the house is very particular, as it is an ancient olive mill, restored maintaining some of the most interesting original characteristics, such as the stone floor on the ground floor or the original grinder, still there in the main living room.
The house has been inhabited for a long time and restored by an American woman/artist, who contributed in making this place cosy, elegant and at the same time intimate.

The property measures about 500 m2 in total and it is composed by the main villa, a second building and an annex used for storage.
The main villa develops on two floors and it also has a very bright cellar, now used as the room where the works of the artist are exposed. It is ideal to be turned into a small independent apartment, or into a SPA/relaxing area.

The access to the house is through the main living room, where there is still the ancient mill grinder. Two steps lead to 2 double bedrooms with bathrooms, one of which also enjoys the access to the external patio surrounding the house.
