A 6 Bedroom, 5 Bathroom Former Auberge

A 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom former Auberge with separate house and entertainment room with 1 hectare of land on the outskirts of a charming Dordogne village. The main house has been recently converted and includes a 80m2 double-height living area, with a mezzanine office. Part of the property has a beautiful half-timbered facade. There are many traditional features including fireplaces and "pierre apparente" walls. With high ceilings, the space is very light and airy. The property has double glazing throughout and underfloor heating making it comfortable for all year round living. The separate guest cottage is over 100 years old and has been fully renovated with central heating and 3 bedrooms (one en-suite bathroom and a separate bathroom). Another barn has been recently renovated to create a 60m2 entertainment space with French windows (all double glazed) onto a private courtyard. The buildings create a beautiful walled courtyard in the centre of the property. Here there are pebbled walkways, a fishpond and terraces. An outdoor summer kitchen has been created with the original bread oven. The owners currently have a wood frame, above-ground pool but there is ample space to build an in-ground pool if required. The rest of the garden is mostly lawn but there is also a wooded area which supplies logs for the property. The shops of St Aulaye are 5 minutes away. Bergerac and Bordeaux airports are within 1 hour's drive making easy international access.
