It is approximately sixty minutes to the nearest international airport at Almeria.

The climate of Lubrin is dry and generally warm. During the summer the average temperature is nearly 30 degrees centigrade whilst over the winter it is mild. There is very low rainfall

The Property

The accommodation includes the original Cortijo which has been sympathetically renovated and comprises of the owner's accommodation plus two farmhouse apartments. The owner's accommodation features an upper ground floor two-bedroom plus two-bathroom apartment. Guests can enjoy two lower ground floor one bedroom apartments.

In addition to the Cortijo, there are three detached cottages. Two of the properties are studio cottages plus there is a two-bedroom plus one bathroom detached cottage which has been converted from stables and a barn.

The layout of the accommodation allows you the option to entertain with your friends and family but provides important space for you and your guests to enjoy some privacy.

The apartments are full of character with beamed ceilings, balconies and traditional window shutters which along with the doors were handmade by the local carpenter. The space around the Cortijo has very private open and covered terraces, ideal for outside living with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. On a clear day you can see the Mediterranean which is approximately twenty kilometres away as the crow flies.

The land is terraced with ancient dry stone walls and the terraces, adjacent to the Cortijo, have been landscaped with grape vines and Oleander borders. There are numerous almond, olive and pomegranate trees providing very mature gardens on different levels.

The original stone walled water deposit has been converted to a plunge pool with steps leading from a large pergola with outside cooking facilities which provide wonderful al fresco dining. The area is adorned with bright geraniums, bougainvillea and endless sunshine.

The views of the surrounding mountains are truly panoramic and the complete setting has produced a peaceful and tranquil location with welcome rest and relaxation that truly refreshes the soul.
