Country Life An Hour From Paris

Well presented two houses
* Over 1 hectare plot
* Hamlet setting
* 8km to Vendome and TGV to Paris
* Swimming pool
* 3 garages

On the edge of a quiet hamlet a short (and direct) car drive to the TGV station at Vendome (Paris in less than 1 hour) sits these two lovely restored houses. The current owners managed the restoration and transformation creating comfortable accommodation for themselves as well as their family and friends when they come to stay. Plenty of space for all inside and out and with a good sized pool and terrace area to maximize on the long warm summers this area is famous for.

The main house has a large triple aspect lounge with through fire to the kitchen and breakfast area. There are two conservatories providing views over the garden and pool, great rooms to relax and unwind in whilst keeping a watchful eye on the children at play. The games room is very large and with its French Billiard table (don't look for the holes) is purpose designed for enjoyment. Completing the ground floor we have a wc and large bathroom. There are two stairs in the main house each one leading to a separate area with 2 doubles, 1 single and a bathroom and wc up one and two doubles and a laundry room up the other.

Across the courtyard is the second house with 'bistro' lounge and fireplace with arched 'Bread oven' window overlooking the pool and kitchen area with stairs to two double bedrooms and 1 single, shower room and two large open lounges.

Adjoining the second house are 3 garages, various storerooms and of course a wine cave. At the end of the main house is the 2nd lot of self-contained guest rooms: lounge, wc, bathroom, kitchen and two double bedrooms upstairs.

The plot is just over a hectare (about 2.5 acres) with an orchard, an enclosed paddock, pool (84), courtyard and formal gardens. Located an easy 10 minute drive from Vendome and its TGV station this property is ideal for those wishing quiet country life whilst still retaining easy access to the lights and culture of Paris an hour away.
