This semi-detached lakeside villa is in a tranquil location overlooking Lake Arvo, but just a few minutes walk from Lorica town centre with its shops and restaurants.

The villa is only a few years old and is in immaculate condition. It comes fully furnished. It is ideal for holidays all year round, and also has excellent letting potential.

Entering from the side, the villa has a large kitchen, dining area and sitting room and also a bathroom/utility room on the ground floor, with a terrace leading off the sitting room facing the lake. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms and another bathroom. There are heaters in the rooms with a log-burning fire in the lounge for heat in the winter months.

There is an electric boat which takes visitors around the lake. No power boats are allowed, but it is possible to fish from a rowing boat or from the shore. Swimming is possible in the lake, although the water is obviously colder than the sea. In the winter, there are local ski runs and a ski shop close by so that you can enjoy your stay at any time of the year.

Lorica is set in the Sila National Park, which is in the centre of Calabria. It has been shown that Lorica has the cleanest air in Europe so is the perfect place to explore the area with many different country walks available. There are many pubs and restaurants within easy reach but if preference is for the outdoor life, there are plenty of picnic tables around. Further afield, Lorica is just an hour’s drive, through beautiful countryside, to both the east and west coasts with their unspoilt beaches.

It is about a 75 minute drive from the airport at Lamezia Terme which is served by direct flights from London Stansted with Ryanair who also fly direct from some other European cities. You could also fly to Rome, Milan or Pisa and get an internal flight to Lamezia. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can use the national rail service from Rome or Naples to Paola, and then drive to Lorica from there.

The nearest large town is San Giovanni in Fiore with lots of large shops, supermarkets etc. as well as an interesting old town. Cosenza is the provincial capital with its own historical old town and is also worth a visit.
