General Condition
The Southerly 38 swing-keel, raised-salon cruising boat offers deep-draft sailing performance and shallow-draft harbor access while providing those inside with a panoramic view of the outside. Equipped with twin rudders, the better to steer her with while honoring the shoal-draft commitment, and main sheet traveler tag lines led to both of the twin helms, the better to control her with.
A self-tacking jib further simplifies the business of sailing. She has a V-berth cabin forward, another double-cabin aft, the galley to port of the companionway and Southerly's trademark elevated nav desk to starboard. The salon is full of natural light and the settees are set up to be sea berths.
 
Actual Condition
It was reported this Southerly 38 broke free from her mooring during a Nor'easter, causing her to be washed ashore in the upright position. Although she has sustained punctures throughout her hull and gouging on the port side from rubbing up against the sea wall, this would be a perfect parts vessel for someone, which can be you.
