What distinguishes Alcyon from other boats in her class?

• Her Owner/Captain has been an engineer working in the Diesel engine industry.  She has been professional maintained by certified diesel and electronic technicians. All work including scheduled maintenance is documented in the ships log.
• The intercoolers were removed, cleaned and reinstalled in April of 2018. Performance testing after this major maintenance resulted in excellent performance during on the water testing. She achieved 32 knot max speed.
• The hull bottom was taken down to fiberglass in 2016.  She had barrier paint applied before two coats Petit Trinidad bottom paint.  Running gear was painted with anti barnacle paint.
• In 2017 the hull was sanded and then painted with two coats of Flag Blue Awlgrip and a clear coat that provides a high gloss finish.
• Alcyon is secure with a Yacht Watchman security system installed.  The system monitors battery charge, bilge water level, hatch closure and motion detection at the helm.  Any change is texted to a cell phone.  In addition if the boat is moved it can be tracked on a mobile device.  The monitoring system saves 5% on annual insurance.
• One of the most unique and enjoyable feature is the Sealift hydraulic swim platform.  This custom made platform was designed and installed in 2016.  The platform is 12 ft wide and 5 ft long.  It has built in cradle for the dingy and lays flat when not in use.  The platform has a 900 lbs capacity, which will support any inflatable for this boat. The platform offers easy access to the water for swimmers and is enhanced by underwater lights that make for nighttime entertainment watching curious fish and other sea life in your favorite anchorage.  The swim platform is controlled by a remote so the platform can be lowered as you approach the boat in your dingy.  
• Cameras in the engine room and on the stern provide excellent check on the engine room and a rear view while underway.
