With her raised pilothouse and sturdy profile, the Hatteras 48 Long Range Cruiser has the strictly business appearance of a serious offshore passage maker. It is, of course, the raised pilothouse that sets her apart from most of the competition. From here, the 48 LRC can be operated in complete privacy from the rest of the boat. Twin sliding doors provide quick access to the decks, and a settee/watchman's berth (new upholstery 2018) is fitted abaft the helm. The 48 LRC is built on a heavy fiberglass hull with a full keel providing protection to the props and rudders. Freeboard (8'7\" forward) is quite high. Featuring a practical two stateroom layout, the spacious master suite is located directly below the pilothouse.
